Among them, "Smart Mining Corps (Shandong)", as one of the first nine corps to be released, was established by China Unicom Shandong Branch and Shanxi Branch. The Legion actively responded to the national energy security strategy, fully implemented the relevant requirements of the state and various ministries and commissions on mine safety production, took the construction of "safe, efficient, green and intelligent" mines as its mission, adhered to the industrial concept of "comprehensive situation awareness to ensure safety, remote unmanned equipment to promote intelligence, equipment linkage and cooperation to improve efficiency, energy consumption and intelligent washing to ensure green", and focused on safety production, intelligent control, data analysis, environmental awareness In business management and other scenarios, the three solution capabilities of "network 5G construction, equipment intelligent transformation, and mine intelligent management and control" are deeply planted, and the "mine intelligent comprehensive management and control platform" is independently developed to continuously promote the transformation and upgrading of mine intelligent, and promote the safe, green, intelligent and efficient development of the mine industry.

The mine is an important pillar industry in China. In order to improve the safety production efficiency of the coal mine, promote the integrated development of new technology and the mine industry, and accelerate the digital transformation of the mine, the national "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" and the 2035 long-term goal are just to be clearly put forward, strengthen the innovative application of advanced technology and equipment in the fields of deep mining and major disaster prevention, and promote the replacement of robots in dangerous positions. Eight ministries and commissions including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Energy Administration jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Intelligent Coal Mines and the Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Safety of Non-Coal Mines issued by the National Bureau of Mine Safety Supervision. The intelligent coal mines have become a national priority.

After the establishment of the Corps, it will focus on the differentiated market, gather synergy and speed up the scale expansion of the mining field. Give full play to the advantages of "cloud network integration", create a common platform and industry enabling platform for the whole country - "mine cloud" platform, and realize the collaborative control and integration of multiple business systems. Mining hardware products such as mining 5G switch, intrinsically safe base station, customized intelligent BBU and other mining hardware products were initially created in the industry to achieve remote control of underground mining, less human and unmanned mining operations, largely ensure safe production, and significantly improve the level of mine intelligence. In response to the national 5G Application "Sailing" Action Plan, build the Shandong Smart Mine Ecological Alliance and promote "production, learning, research and use" in a coordinated manner; Jointly with the two leading enterprises of Shandong Energy Group and Shandong Gold Group, set up 5G joint laboratory to jointly explore the innovative development of smart mines; In combination with Unicom's independent research and development capabilities, it has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with universities and industry experts and academician teams to improve the efficiency and quality of research and development.

Up to now, Shandong Unicom has provided solutions for 45 mining projects in 4 provinces and cities across the country, and has successively built 16 demonstration projects covering coal, gold, silver and iron mines, including Baodian Coal Mine, Zhaolou Coal Mine, Dongtan Coal Mine, Linyi Zhonggang Iron Mine, and Yinman Silver Mine in Inner Mongolia. Among them, "Baodian Coal Mine 5G Smart Mine" was selected as the first batch of "Top Ten Applications in Five Industries" benchmark demonstration projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The "5G+Smart Mine" project jointly declared by Shandong Unicom and Shandong Energy Group won the first prize in the national finals of the fourth "Blooming Cup" 5G Innovation and Application Competition.
